
The Town of Delafield's tagline, A Perfect
Environment, hints at the beauty and
convenience of this wonderful community. Its
area of 18 square miles blends some of the state's
most noteworthy parks, recreation trails,
subdivisions and retail centers.
The Town of Delafield is located within two of
the best schools systems in the state. Both
Arrowhead (Hartland-Lakeside) and Kettle
Moraine systems receive high grades in
scholastics, athletics and parent involvement.
At the corner of I-94 and Hwy. 83 lies a large
retail area with big box stores such as Walmart,
Target, Best Buy, and Home Depot mixed with
specialty shops, some excellent restaurants, a
movie theatre and a grocer. There are also newer
retail developments at the corner of Hwy. 18 and
Hwy. 83.
Along with several other community parks, the
Town of Delafield has a Sports Commons with a
skateboard park, several baseball fields, vollyball
courts, a childrens playground area and a sport
court.
Lahpam Peak State Park has great hiking trails,
biking trails and nice picnic areas. The tower at
Lapham is the highest peak in Waukesha County
and well worth the climb to watch a sunset. The 7
mile Black Trail challenges the most conditioned
athletes with severe grades weaving through the
forest. This park also has lighted cross country
ski trails.
The heart of the 15 mile biking and hiking Lake
Country Trail runs through the Town of
Delafield. The trail is now paved from Pewaukee
to Oconomowoc and offers rolling terain, with
lake, woodland and marsh views. The 52 mile
Glacial Drumlin Trail also runs along the
southern border of the Town of Delafield and
offers biking, walking, rollerblading, and
snowmobiling from the west side of Waukesha to
Cottage Grove.
Naga-Waukee Park is a 416 acre parcel that lies
on the East shore of Nagawicka Lake and offers a
nice beach area, boat launch, picnic areas, large
common area, and camping.
Naga-Waukee Golf Course is one of the most
scenic and well maintained municipal courses in
the state of Wisconsin. Several holes on the back
nine have dramatic views of Pewaukee Lake and
the course's signature par 5, 14th hole is
considered by many as the most beautiful golf
hole in the state.
A Pewaukee Lake public boat launch is located
on on the west end of the lake off Maple Ave.
(Hwy E).
There are a wide variety of home styles and price
ranges in the Town of Delafield. Many homes
have larger lots of 1 acre or more. The Town of
Delafield is home to many of the prestigious
neighborhoods in the Lake Country with
Grandhaven, Lakeside Conservancy, The Arbors,
Foxwood Estates, Hawksnest, Dover Bay,
Shepherd's Pass, Prairie Wind, Summerset Moors,
Summerhill High Ridge and Lost Creek
subdivisions. Many of Pewaukee Lake's wonderful
lake properties are situated in the Town of
Delafield.
