Okauchee Lake lies within the boundaries of the Town of Oconomowoc and the Town of Merton.  It is one of the larger Lake Country lakes and is
certainly one of the most active.  There are restaurants and taverns with boater access around the lake.  Okauchee is a little over 1,100 acres in size,
but due to it having so many bays and inlets, it has over 12 miles of shoreline.  The main part of the lake is know as "The Big Lake".  It is quite common
for the lake homes to have narrow lots of 50 feet wide or less.  This lake has gone through a big transition over the last 10 years. There has been a
tremendous amount of tear-down activity with small weekend type homes being razed and large new construction lake homes replacing them. Lake
property sale prices have escalated substantially in the last few years.  Fishing is good for Bluegill, Crappie, Muskie, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth
Bass, White Bass, Walleye and Northern Pike.
