Pewaukee Lake is the largest of the Lake Country lakes and lies within municipalities of the City of
Pewaukee, Village of Pewaukee and Town of Delafield. Residents of Pewaukee Lake have easy access to
the nearby expressways and an easy commute to Milwaukee. It is one of the most sought after lakes for
real estate with homes ranging from small cottages to grand lake estates and encompassing all price
ranges. Pewaukee Lake has an active Yacht Club and has quite a few restaurants and taverns with
boater access. It is a good lake for sailing, water skiing, swimming and fishing.  Pewaukee is also known
as an active winter lake.  Ice fishing, snowmobiling and ice boating are very popular here.  There is a
charming downtown area in the Village of Pewaukee with a public beach, restaurants and shops. There
are public boat accesses on the west side of the lake off Maple Ave. (Hwy. E), and on the east side of the
lake off Prospect Avenue on Lakeview Blvd. There is also boat launching available at many of the
taverns and bait shops around the lake.  This lake is well known as a great lake for Muskie fishing, and
almost every year a record sized lunker is reeled in here.  Anglers will also find Bluegill, Crappie,
Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth bass, Walleye and Northern Pike in this lake.
